Dennis and Jackie Bambino have walked with the Lord for 51 years; in full-time ministry for 40 years including serving as Senior Pastors for 30 years in New York and ministering in over 30 countries. Dennis has authored two books. Married 58 years they bring the Word and the Spirit to hungry hearts seeking revival. Residing in Houston, Texas they have three happily married daughters, 12 grandchildren, two great granddaughters and a Shih-Tzu named Pebbles.

Day 1: Friday, May 15, 2026 – Depart

  • Depart from the USA on overnight transatlantic flights to Berlin

  • Optional pre-tour travel arrangements available through Reformation Tours

Day 2: Saturday, May 16, 2026 – Arrival in Berlin → Wittenberg

  • Meet group at the pre-tour hotel upon arrival in Berlin

  • Panoramic sightseeing tour featuring:

    • Reichstag

    • Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church

    • Refurbished city center

    • Gendarmenmarkt

    • Berlin Cathedral

  • Continue to Wittenberg

  • Dinner at the hotel

Day 3: Sunday, May 17, 2026 – Wittenberg

  • Morning at leisure with the option to attend a local church service

  • Visit Castle Church (Schlosskirche):

    • Site of Luther’s 95 Theses

    • Bronze-cast Theses doors

  • Explore St. Mary’s Church where Luther preached

  • Visit exhibition in the Augustineum beside Luther’s former home

  • Group dinner in a traditional German restaurant

Day 4: Monday, May 18, 2026 – Wittenberg → Erfurt

  • Transfer to Erfurt after breakfast

  • Walking tour including:

    • St. Mary’s Cathedral

    • St. Severin’s Church

    • Merchant’s Bridge

  • Visit Augustinian Monastery:

    • Where Luther became a monk (July 17, 1505)

    • View reconstructed monastic cell

  • Dinner included

Day 5: Tuesday, May 19, 2026 – Eisenach → Worms → Heidelberg

  • Tour Wartburg Castle:

    • Luther’s refuge during disguised “kidnapping”

    • Site where Luther translated the New Testament

  • Visit Worms:

    • Former Bishop’s Residence grounds

    • Luther Monument

    • St. Peter’s Cathedral

    • Site of Luther’s stand at the Diet of Worms (1521)

  • Continue to Heidelberg

  • Dinner at the hotel

Day 6: Wednesday, May 20, 2026 – Zurich → Swiss Alps

  • Cross into Switzerland and visit Zurich

  • Explore Reformation sites:

    • Grossmünster

    • The Helferei (Zwingli’s residence)

    • Zwingli Statue

  • Stroll through Zurich’s Old Town (Altstadt)

  • Travel into the Alps to Grindelwald

  • Hotel dinner and evening stroll through the Alpine village

Day 7: Thursday, May 21, 2026 – Grindelwald (Free Day)

  • Enjoy a full free day with optional activities:

    • Alpine picnic

    • Gentle hiking trails

    • Cable car ride to Jungfraujoch

    • Männlichen gondola for views of the Eiger, Mönch & Jungfrau

    • Grindelwald First & Tissot Cliff Walk

  • Meals on your own except breakfast

Day 8: Friday, May 22, 2026 – Geneva → Lausanne

  • Morning stop in Medieval Murten

  • Arrive in Geneva:

    • Described by John Knox as “the most perfect school of Christ”

  • Afternoon touring:

    • St. Pierre’s Cathedral

    • Reformation Museum

    • Reformation Monument

  • Farewell dinner at lakeside hotel in Lausanne

Day 9: Saturday, May 23, 2026 – Return

  • Return flights to the USA or optional onward travel

Whenever possible, we choose hotels in town centers, so that you are able to go off and explore in your free time. It may be necessary for us to substitute hotels for others of equal quality. You will be fully informed of any changes that affect you.

Once the tour is a guaranteed departure our air team can assist you with booking flights and transfers. If you have booked your own flights, we can still provide transfers, as long as we have your flight details on file and a phone number to give to the driver. We will include your transfer information in your final packet. Transfers will be arranged for each arrival, so that you won’t have to wait for other tour members if their flight is delayed. Transfers can be arranged for the day of your choosing, but we can’t arrange transfers if you arrive or depart by train.

Please note that individual transfers are booked through a third-party and you will be responsible to communicate with the company in case of delays.

Flight Information

*Please do not book non-refundable flights until the tour is a guaranteed departure. Our air team will be happy to assist you with flights.

Arrival: Please arrange to arrive in Berlin no later than 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 16, 2026. (Pre-tour night is available)

Departure: You are welcome to depart from Geneva at any time on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

    •   Round-trip air transportation and related taxes and fees
    •   Arrival and departure transfers

    •   Items of a personal nature, such as passports and visas. Passports must be valid for 6 months beyond return date.
    •   Passenger trip cancellation insurance
    •   Baggage handling (let us know if you need assistance)

    Payment Schedule

    •   The deposit of $350 per person is due at the time of booking through the registration system. As you register you will be given the option to pay by ACH (direct from your bank) or by credit card (3.5% fee). If you prefer, checks can be mailed to “Reformation Tours”, 12316 244th St, Chisago City, MN 55013-9688.
    •   Final payment is due by February 14, 2026
    •   Reservations will be accepted after February 14, 2026, subject to availability

    Insurance

    There are two levels of insurance offered. Click here to compare. When you fill out the registration form, you will be given quotes for both.

    Standard is 4.55% of the trip cost and can be purchased up until 2 days prior to departure, although we recommend purchasing it before.

    Enhanced is 7.6% of the trip cost and includes cancel for any reason benefits. It has to be purchased within 14 days of registration.

    Cancellations

    Regardless of reason, cancellations are costly, so we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance:

Cancellations

The following penalties apply plus any non-recoverable expenses such as hotel deposits and attraction costs that had been made by the time of cancellation. Travel insurance is highly recommended for all travelers.

From time of deposit until 100 days before departure: $100 per person.
From 99-31 days prior to departure: $350 per person plus any non-refundable deposits
30 days or less prior to departure: No refund.

Cancellation charges also apply to additional accommodation reserved prior to and after the tour. Cancellations must be received in writing by 5:00 p.m. Central Time on the last business day of the applicable time period. For flight changes or cancellations, revision fees and/or airline cancellation charges will apply. Roommates canceling can result in a single supplement charge for the roommate. The Participant who cancels will be responsible for that charge if a substitute roommate cannot be found.

Reformation Tours reserves the rights to alter itineraries without notice should it become necessary. While on tour, if conditions necessitate changes, or if certain features are unavailable or limited, we reserve the right to vary or substitute alternatives. All prices are calculated at the exchange rate in effect at the time of this quotation. Should currency fluctuations necessitate an adjustment in tour price; the adjusted price will be reflected in the final invoice.
